The Nuclear Medicine Department at Peninsula Hospital Center joins other
imaging departments, such as Radiology, to provide a broad range of methods
to visualize the human body and its inner workings. Nuclear Medicine is a
diagnostic tool; an established, necessary branch of medicine which uses low
levels of radiation (Gamma Rays) and state-of-the-art imaging equipment
including Dual Head SPECT Camera, Thyroid Uptake Probe and EKG Monitor and
Treadmill. |

Nuclear
Medicine Expansion
In
the near future, we will be adding another state-of-the-art Dual Head SPECT
Camera to service the needs of our growing community and surrounding areas.
Nuclear Medicine provide the physician with information on the anatomy and
physiology of their patients. With this information, the physicians are able
to treat their patients with the most appropriate regimen. |
