In keeping with the upgrading of facilities and technology at Peninsula Hospital Center, the Radiology Department is particularly proud of its new CT Scanning Unit, the latest 16-slice technology which allows scan completion in under five minutes. The brand new Siemens 1.5 Tesla MRI allows scan completion in under 15 minutes and is more “patient friendly.” This equipment joins the Linear Accelerator to provide an extremely broad spectrum of outstanding cancer care. Other state-of-the-art equipment, includes Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Angiography (MRI & MRA) and Bone Densitometry.

Today's Computed Tomography (or CT) Scanning technology offers a noninvasive evaluation thereby reducing a patients stay and increasing the accuracy of the diagnosis.
