Angels on the Bay Pediatric Unit

 Building a brighter, healthier future for your child, Peninsula Hospital Center offers specialized pediatric ambulatory, emergency and inpatient care.  In our Angels on the Bay Pediatric Unit, your child will feel truly at home.

This state-of-the-art unit includes 14 beds, a modern parents’ lounge, a cheerful playroom, a beautiful, large and  fascinating aquarium, a treatment room on unit, rooming-in facilities for parents and a post-op observation area adjacent to the nurses’ station, all in a child-friendly atmosphere.

                 Round-the-clock Board Certified Physicians are supported by a professional nursing staff expertly trained in growth and development.  Pediatric specialists are available in cardiology, gastroenterology and endocrinology.  We also have an asthma management program run by a pediatric asthma specialist. 

                Our Angels on the Bay Pediatric Unit is supported by the Angels on the Bay Children’s Charity and thanks to its generosity, our pediatric unit has been modernized and totally remodeled.  We have also added a special Pediatric Waiting Area and Treatment Area in our Emergency Room.  Our “Century Project” plans include the addition of a modern, state-of-the-art Pediatric Facility in our Family Health Center.  This new addition will also be home to our Pediatric Diabetes Treatment Center. 

                With a focus on sensitivity, the Angels on the Bay Pediatric Unit is designed to promote a comfortable and secure atmosphere for children and their families.
